Getting Demigod to load faster...

MP loads take so long I get disconnected from the game

I'm trying to play Demigod on two different computers, on the slower computer, I've yet to sucessfully play an online game. By the time the game has loaded, I'm disconnected from everybody else.

The computer is a P4 2.88 with 1.5GB and a X1950 videocard. Is there anyway to speedup demigod's loadtime? I've already set all options to the lowest settings available.

Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated.

More memory is usually the best way to increase load speeds. This might involve switching to 64bit though.

With the setup you listed i'd actually suggest looking into a new processor first and foremost, P4 is starting to show its age and you probably won't get more than another 6-12 months before it reaches defunkt levels. You can get an E5300 along with 4gb of memory and -possibly- a new mobo which should see you right for a while, and cost no more than $200ish depending on quality.
